My sister Kelli tagged me with this meme via e-mail, and each time I respond, it mysteriously gets deleted before I can hit “reply”. I think it’s a fun survey, so I decided to post it here.
Besides, if it happens to get “lost” again, I can copy and paste.
Feel free to tag yourself on your own blog, or down in the comment section. Be sure you let me know, though– I’d love to read your answers.
What Kemi Means |
![]() You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life. You are also a keeper of knowledge – meaning you don’t spill secrets or spread gossip.People sometimes think you’re snobby or aloof, but you’re just too deep in thought to pay attention to them. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated. You master any and all skills easily. You don’t have to work hard for what you want. You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you’ll knock down anyone who gets in your way! You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It’s easy to get you excited… which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don’t stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

My friend Rachel tagged me with a random-things meme. I get tagged with a lot of memes I don’t follow through with, and I want to go on the record by saying my lack of participation is nothing personal. Some of them seem too daunting, or require preparation that I am not willing to complete. I like this meme because it asks for no pictures of my messy home, and, well, really, I can go on all day about me.
I’m kidding.
I did one similar to this already, loooong ago, so you can read that one first, and then come back to this one. My life is so exciting that I know you’ll be praising your DSL connection for its speed, and you’re welcome for the pop-up window. I won’t be tagging anyone new, but if you’d like to tag yourself, put a link in the comments below. Come one, now, who doesn’t love to read quirky things about their friends?
Ready? Here we go… (more…)
I may or may not be back to write a real post today. I spent the remainder of my weekend cleaning up vomit and washing mountains (and I mean that literally) of soiled towels, sheets, pillows, and nightshirts, and scrubbing carpet and upholstery.
Four kids x nasty virus = major headache for mom.
I tagged myself for this meme because I really liked it. I’m not going to tag anyone specifically, but I encourage you to tag yourself.
I have to say, I make a pretty mean mosaic. I quite like “me”.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
2. Using only the first page of results, and pick one image.
3. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into Big Huge Lab’s Mosaic Maker to create a mosaic of the picture answers.
THE QUESTIONS:
1. What is your first name?
2. What is currently your favorite food?
3. What high school did you go to?
4. What is your favorite color?
5. Who is your celebrity crush?
6. What is your favorite drink?
7. What is your dream vacation?
8. What is your favorite dessert?
9. What do you want to be when you grow up?
10. What do you love most in life?
11. What is one word that describes you?
12. What is your flickr name?
I saw this on two of my buddies’ blogs: Merecedes and Randomability. It looked like so much fun, I thought I’d do it for today’s post.
It has NOTHING to do with the fact that it’s nearly 3:00 and I still sit here unshowered and in my pajamas, with the house a complete laundry disaster.
Hush.

I found this meme on a random tag surf I did, and when I went back to give credit to the site I copied it from, I couldn’t find it again. (Sorry.) I’m not going to tag anyone, since that seems to be a blogging faux pas, but if you’re interested, I encourage you to copy and paste. It’s enlightening.
I am going to cheat today and post this, because I think it’s a lot of fun. (I always knew I was an original… and good thing, too!)

Kenny just left for his “official” first day at his new job. He will be selling GM automobiles for the same company he worked for almost ten years ago. It was hard for him to leave his former company (as was evidenced here), but it was a necessary move. We are both very happy with his new place of employment, and, as an added bonus, he is working days now. *grin* Yes!!! I can get stuff done around the house!
Speaking of around the house, I am jumping back on the FlyLady wagon, and in just three days, I am starting to feel hopeful again. (It’s such a great feeling!) I have almost caught up with all my laundry, even after an extra three loads due to Anthony’s [projectile] stomach virus.
Thanks for letting me update. I’ll be back tomorrow with another letter, I’m sure.
About a month ago, I got tagged for a meme (didn’t know what it was then) by my blog buddy Cow Gal. Now that I’ve figured it out (and also figured out how to edit web addresses… go me!) I am going to complete the challenge and pass it on. I know you’ve probably all been tagged to death, but this is a new thing for me, so pretend like I’m not a total idiot and play along, okay? *grin* And if memes aren’t your thing, well, then, that’s okay too.
Here are the rules:
* Link back to me
* Post theses rules on your meme post
* Share seven random things about you…or as many as you like.
* Tag seven other fun-loving blog friends that need something to write about!
* And let them know…so they can do it
And the seven random people that I’ll be tagging are below:
Okay, here goes:
1. When I was in third grade I had a moderate case of Chicken Pox, which led to a disease called Bell’s Palsy. I was one of the few children in the US known to have contracted it. The left half of my face was completely paralyzed for almost six months. My smile is still a little lop-sided, and when I get tired the muscles in my face droop.
2. I prefer raw cake batter to the actual baked cake. (Salmonella, anyone?)
3. I am a very organized person, even though my house is in a constant state of chaos.
4. I have excellent handwriting, which is common, and I write very well on a chalk or white board, which is not. It’s the teacher in me, I guess.
5. I have played the piano for 28 years. I started lessons when I was five, and continued until I left for college. I won a piano scholarship in high school, and I was the Sterling Scholar in music. (Is SS a Utah thing, or is it nationwide?) Now I play for fun, and for my kids’ enjoyment. Just recently I sat down to show off from my old lesson books, and I looked like a fool. What I was playing in junior high was too difficult for me to sightread. Ugh.
6. I have a hard time eating my vegetables. (Sssh, don’t tell my kids.) Seriously, though, it’s hard to eat them without making that scrunched-nose face. I love carrots and sweet potatoes, but the green ones get me. I can choke down green beans and broccoli with a fair effort, but peas? GAG! If I could drink a case of V-8 and get the RDA that way, I would.
7. Fall is my favorite season, mainly because it’s when school starts. As a kid, and later as a teacher, I was enchanted by new school supplies, new books, new students and planning a new year. You’d think January would have the same “new” effect, but no… just September. As a related note: I could spend a fortune in an office-supply store. My husband never lets me go in one unattended. *blush*
